Well, you know, a year or so ago, I started reading a book on the great
depression (just to get ready) and the author described some wonderful
scenes in the thirties, in which top financiers and industrialists were
begging FDR to re-regulate them.
So it goes. When the ship is sinking and credibility has to be restored,
government interference is welcomed. At other times, it's interference.
Whatever. It's a rotten game.
