Russian chicken

I understand that it's crap,(at least I do now) I just don't understand how it's cheaper. Even our underpaid chicken plant workers would make a lot more that Iranians, I would think. Transport, especially during oil price spikes must cost a lot. I'm just wondering if the institutional/antibiotic farming in US has extremely lower cost basis or if some other factors involved in economics, like the US chicken is really from Indonesia or something. ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Doss <chrisd at russiajournal.com> To: <lbo-talk at lists.panix.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 12, 2002 7:04 AM Subject: RE: Russian chicken
