The present governor, now Senate candidate, is not the most liberal candidate, but she's also not a conservative either, and is probaly as liberal as NH will elect; she's had tight wins for office in past races.
And she will be a vote to keep control of the Judiciary Committee and kill rightwing nominations, kill ANWR, stop Bush "stimulus" package giveaways to the rich, and other key votes. Maybe Justice Pickering has a nice ring in your ears but not in mine.
