The most primitive and most "sophisticated" stage of capitalism reveal its real nature---a highly organized, politically sanctioned form of theft.

The intellectuals who are paid to rationalize and justify this process must be shielded from such knowledge, sometimes by asymmetric information, sometimes by obscure scientific forms such as "economics".

The intellectuals must be shielded because it must always look like the intentions of the rulers were good and it is the job of intellectuals to describe these intentions and to be passionately convinced of their inherent or theoretical goodness.

Free market anyone?
