yes. i have volunteered to take care of it, if ravi doesn't want to do it. marco doesn't have to do a thing. ravi seems thrilled to be working! :) (will program for praise and the revo, eh ravi! :)

another trivially easy thing to do is skip the requirement to join the list in order to see email addresses. instead, you would obscure addresses like so (this addresses matt's issue, too)

Michael Pollak <mpollak ** panix.com>

or

Michael Pollak <mpollak __ panix.com>

now, since there's some confusion, it's the case that, when you are actually ON THE LIST and receiving individual or digest mail, you will see everyone's email address. so, matt's complaint was a bit silly. but, if someone stumbled over a post they liked or wanted to flame then matt's complaint is that he wouldn't know who to write to (i don't know about anyone else, but i get 10 mails a years asking me questions, flaming me, or thanking me for a post at LBO). he's got a point.

this other solution is less work and still flips spammers the bird. google still turns up searches for mpollak, though.
