To the extent that you say that they won because of Hollywood guilt, there is the implication that they didn't win on their talent-- even if the fact remains that they probably needed to exhibit a higher level of talent than their white compatriots to overcome the usual racial blinders of the academy. Many you were arguing that Hollywood guilt had lowered those blinders a bit, but the phrasing implies an affirmative action award, which while you may not mean the same thing as the folks railing at the "politically correct" Oscars over at FreeRepublic meant, it does sounds a lot the same.

There is the place where left cynicism on the left meets right anti-PC outrage.
