Saudi ad blitz

The Saudi Arabian government has been attempting to do a media blitz of US television. Many stations have been refusing the ads, which say that Saudi Arabia is an ally in peace against the war on terrorism. I have heard it has been getting heavy play on at least one San Francisco Bay area television station. The PR firm behind the ads is Qorvis.

O'Dwyer PR has the commercials online, as well as a commentary which mentions a right wing pundit who wants to split up Saudi Arabia: http://www.odwyerpr.com/0501comm_saudi.htm

I don't think the NY Times or Washington Post mentioned this, here are some articles: http://www.msnbc.com/news/744693.asp?0cb=-11b77393 http://www.uniontrib.com/news/nation/terror/20020502-9999_1n2saudis.html http://www.nypost.com/news/worldnews/46866.htm
