[Forstmann is the rather simple-minded libertarian financier who subsidized The American Spectator for years.]

New York Post - May 7, 2002

THE top power lunch yesterday was the meal Teddy Forstmann laid out in honor of Nelson Mandela. Forstmann, the Wall Street dealmaker who rails against hostile takeovers and junk bonds, is the father of two adopted South African boys who are now in prep school. Mandela, who led the decades-long campaign that ended apartheid, was toasted at Teddy's Fifth Avenue aerie by the likes of Rupert Murdoch, Tim Russert, Henry Paulsen of Goldman Sachs and John Mack of Credit Suisse First Boston.
