I should also have mentioned Soyuzniye cigarettes, which have a big, snazzy hammer and sickle on the pack and are dedicated "to the Soviet peoples." I like them, they're good cigarettes and cost about 10 rubles (33 cents) a pack. The ad campaign uses a shot from an old film of WWII pop culture icon Strlitz (supposed to have been a spy in WWII) and touts the cigarettes as having the "flavor of the motherland."
