They're both dicks. Most comedians --especially from that generation (which includes L. Miller's pal Bill Maher) -- have horrible politics, to the degree that they have any at all. George Carlin was an exception, but now, after the death of his wife, he's become a comic nihilist, cheering on the demise of the species. Bill Hicks was great, cynical in spots, but accurate and sharp. But he died of pancreatic cancer at 33.
