Noam Chomsky To Debate William Bennett Live on CNN "American Morning with Paula Zahn," Thursday, May 30, 2002, 8:20 A.M. (East Coast Time)
Noam Chomsky's international anti-war bestseller, 9-11 has become the subject of debate in mainstream media. Following controversial feature articles in the New York Times and Washington Post earlier this month, arch-conservative William Bennett proposed on Paula Zahn's CNN morning show that he and Chomsky debate.
The debate was just confirmed to take place live on CNN tomorrow morning, Thursday, May 30, at 8:20 A.M. (East Coast Time)
Will CNN accurately represent Chomsky's views? Will they give him sufficient time to make a point? Is William Bennett capable of rational debate?
TIME Magazine has also interviewed Chomsky recently. A full page Q & A is scheduled to run in the magazine in two weeks.
