One of the complaints my publisher got about "Beyond Ramps" (from a "lefie")was that it was depressing. Well obviously the complainer thought we disabled people are supposed to inspire and make light of a "bad situation" not expose social injustice! We may as well hang up our hats and shoot all the investigative reporters if "the left" needs to put on a happy face. Who wants to know about militaristic bad doings, killings in our name all over the world anyway. Hey instead of gong to protests we can all go shopping at the nearest mall. Is that cheery enough?
