ZNet, for all its dour earnestness and frayed wool blanket atmos, does on occasion offer some interesting and intelligent critiques of "the movement," whatever that happens to be. But for the most part it's a weepfest of likeminded souls, and after an hour immersed in its misery you begin reaching for the Kleenex.

Now Marxmail . . . well, ho ho, that's a different vibe altogether. I don't know what's "serious" about it -- the exchanges have almost no connection to the lives average Americans lead (perhaps it's big in Brazil) -- but it is funny, from the posturing of the list's Mighty Leader down to the arcane references spat out by cheerleaders for North Korea, Marxmail is one long hoot. Not as sophisticated as The Onion, nor as sharp as "The Daily Show," but hilarious in its own irrelevant right -- or "left."

Pass the Cheetos.
