Louisiana is still the key to control of the Senate.....If the Dmes win, then I will bet $100 here and now to one lucky LBO-er that Chaffee jumps parties....Why would he do that? To be in the majority. But that leaves the Dems one short still.....Except if I was McCain, I would jump and be the BMOC....no other dem has ANY visibility for 2004...Lieberman ain'it for oh so many reasons (least of all, he is Jewish)....Edwards has no name recognition and he s not a muckraker, so no news for him, TD and RG done (thankfully). Plus, McCain HATES the Schrub...HATES.....now the right wing repubs will beat up on him to get back at him for campaign finance reform....Remember you heard it here (whether it is first I have no idea, I refuse towatch or read anything about the elections) eric
