In an issue of what is now called SR or Socialist Review but at a time when it was still called Socialist Revolution there was a longish article which featured how Lerner operated in some big anti-war demonstration in some west coast city. I'll try to dig the issue out of my basement. I can't remember any of the details, but the general thrust of it was that he was an archetypal male chauvinist pig and utterly detestable in his personal relations to other leftists, especially women. And a woman who used to post to this list told of his delivering a diatribe at some party in San Francisco on the weakness of the left being that leftists wouldn't obey their leaders.
