Actually take a look at the record of both. What has Al Qaeda done to even compare with dropping nuclear bombs on undefended civilian populations? Or backing a genocidal invasion by Indonesia of East Timor. Or bombing peasants societies into dust killing millions, and so on.

Yes they are horrible, no doubt, but to realize that they are is not to justify the killing of innocent people who are Al Qaeda's victims just as much as those that died in the WTC.
