Well, of course, Marx thought that at the time capitalism was revolutionary vis a vis feudalism and precapitalist formations. Everybody knows that. Duh!

But the above is an incredible statement. Not only has Hitchen's turned into an apologist for capitalism, it looks like Mr. "Integrity" is trying to justify his years of being a socialist to his capitalist brethern. I mean, if Marx was so happy about capitalism why did he write this in that very manifesto:
<<The immediate aim of the Communists is the same as that of all other proletarian parties: Formation of the proletariat into a class, overthrow of the bourgeois supremacy, conquest of political power by the proletariat>>
Somebody should spit in Hitchen's face.
