O'Reilly often has awful politics, but the guy knows how to do a TV
show - it's lively and funny. And even though he has leftish types on
mainly to make fun of them, at least they're on. Sometimes movement
conservatives take the left more seriously than does the center (no
one seems to read the Nation more closely than Russ "Mugger" Smith at
NY Press). And Brit Hume is often annoying too - he reads the news
like he's trying to hold a billiard ball in his ass, and he's pretty
right wing - but he's coming from somehwere, and there's some
entertainment value. It all comes back to Murdoch's genius - wretched
politics, piggish business practices, but no one does the tabloid
better.
