President Bush to Promote War with Iraq in Cincinnati
President Bush is coming to Cincinnati next week to make his case for war with Iraq.
Bush will give a speech in Cincinnati on Monday in which he is expected to outline the threats posed by Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and lay out his rationale for military action.
Cincinnati Peaceseekers [contact; <cintipeaceseekers at hotmail.com>] is asking everyone who is opposed to unilateral war with Iraq to attend. Right now, the time and place has not been scheduled, but the rally is expected to be open to the public.

WASHINGTON - President Bush is to hold a town hall meeting in Cincinnati on Monday to rally support for potential war against Iraq, the White House announced Thursday.
Congress is considering a resolution this week that would give the president broad authority to use military action to disarm Saddam Hussein.
Republican leaders agreed with Bush on Wednesday on the wording of a resolution that would give him that authority. Democratic leaders said Thursday they are nearing a bipartisan consensus on the issue.
Bush's trip was designed to draw attention to the issue on the eve of a vote expected next week.
"The president is going to speak to the American people on the threat Saddam Hussein poses," said White House spokesman Scott Stanzel. "He will address a large gathering of citizens from the Cincinnati area and talk to residents about his resolution."
Additional details on the midday trip were expected to be released on Friday, he said.
The visit would be Bush's eighth trip to Ohio since taking office. Because Ohioans' attitudes usually mirror those of the country, the politically important state has become a place for Bush to test-market his agenda.
"It says something for our community that the president has chosen Cincinnati to make such an important speech at such a critical time," said Rep. Steve Chabot, a Republican who represents part of Cincinnati.
Chabot, who supports giving the president the authority to use force in Iraq, said it's important for Bush to get the public's support for military action so he can get the votes he needs in Congress.
"The president coming and making his case to the American people directly and to their elected representatives is an important process of pulling the country together," he said.
In previous trips to Ohio, the president has touted education legislation, welfare reform and using faith-based organizations in social work. He has also spoken to the Ohio State University graduates, hosted a fund-raiser for Gov. Bob Taft and hosted Mexican President Vicente Fox. ***** -- Yoshie
