What remains to be seen is whether, beyond issuing statements questioning the war, clergy and lay religious leaders opposed to the war on Iraq, both within and outside the traditional "religious left," can and will mobilize rank and file congregants to visible public actions, like prayer vigils, peace marches, sit-ins at offices of public officials, etc. -- Yoshie
