Yup. Flew to Honolulu ten days ago with my eight-year old daughter. 
Unbeknownst to me, she was carrying a boy scount knife in the pocket of her 
jeans. Got through the metal detector with no problem at all; so did my 
very sharp hair cutting scissors which I took along to give my son a haircut.
