Hi Doug! I'm new to your list. So perhaps there were ruled I did not know. I thought Lotta's piece on Socialist planning was a wonderful contribution to leftist debate on alternative societies.

Hey Windy, the trouble is just that some of us do know all about the RCP and the RIM - some of us even had connections with them at some stage. I'm not going to bother to go through that whole piece and give you my critiques, but here's a clue: the whole argument there hinges around the nation state as a vehicle for socialism (check it out - it's there), which is a notion quite foreign to marxism. What do you expect from a movement that puts Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Mao all on the same pedestal? I'm afraid you're looking for liberation in the wrong place. Tahir
