Henry C.K. Liu was on this list in its early days. We didn't like each other much and parted ways. He's extremely elitist - he bragged about his wealth and IQ. He's also quite supportive of the Chinese government, on Leninist and/or Maoist grounds I assume. Lou Proyect used to adore him - I haven't kept up on Proyect-Liu relations - because of his Third Worldism (which in both cases is based on the Upper East Side of Manhattan), and because HCKL has a cousin on the CCP's Central Committee. Henry is a fascinating joint embodiment of the party Marxist and the hedge fund guy, both natural controllers of the commanding heights.
