No, the article is more like - Iraq, much worse than you thought. Don't you think it's rather stunning that sanctions have killed more people than two a-bomb attacks and WW I chemical attacks combined?

And more people died in the firebombings of Dresden and Tokyo than did in Hiroshima, right? Nuclear weapons are pretty attention-getting, but there are lots of more mundane ways to kill people by the hundreds of thousands.
