The picture on the bottom right of the
article from AP: "An Israeli soldier kicks a peace activist at
an Israeli checkpoint "...That peace activist is me flying to the ground
with the sign "Freedom For Both Peoples" in my hand. My chest was where
his feet are in the picture, so you can see how much power he put into the
kick. I flew several feet more before I hit the guy behind me and then we
both hit the ground (the person behind me got pretty cut up from the rocks when
I smashed him into the ground).

I talked to someone today (in
Tel-Aviv) who has been in the West Bank for several weeks
near with ISM (the International Solidarity Movement), and the Ta'ayush
demonstration was the first demo he had been to where Israelis were also present
(well besides the soldiers and settlers he saw while in the West
Bank)...he said he was so surprised to see the extent of violence the soldiers
and police used against Israelis. Before that, he thought they only
act that way against the Palestinians. He said it woke him up a bit to the
barriers the Israeli left face here.
