OK, so this is where I get on my soapbox in order to say a few
politically incorrect words.
What the fuck? This is an incredibly pathetic excuse to not be more involved in anti-war and peace activism.
Millions of people of color around the world have been out in the streets protesting this war. Many of them are engaged in daily struggles that make the daily struggles of African-Americans look meek in comparison. Yet, they still have been out in the streets, protesting this war, often in some pretty militant protests.
What's more, tens of thousands of African-Americans have attended an anti-war or peace protests in the U.S., with many being involved in the organizing of protests. Here in Washington, there are at least two anti-war groups that are led by African-Americans and are comprised primarily of African-Americans.
We need less excuses and more people in the streets.
