Comedy Central just broadcast the 100th episode of South Park. The show
featured a time-traveling Eric Cartman going back to 1776 to learn what the
nation's Founding Fathers thought of antiwar protests. It turns out the FFs
believed the US should forever be a land where citizens could protest wars
to their hearts' content. That way, the FFs said, the protesters could
convey the image of Americans as a kind, caring people while leaving the
government, in actual fact, free to wage war anytime, anyplace, for any
reason with impunity. Good episode.
