actually, faux or sheepleNN did a special on this, indicating with long shots that the square was surrounded by tanks. but those were just images that went uncommented upon, the best they managed were words about how the display wasn't being repeated across town, yadda. IIRC, boston globes special of images also reveal this long shot.

i was counting on a better analysis from robert fisk, though. oh well.

at any rate, you're still being conned by the con.
