When it came to the murder of thousands of civilians in the last few weeks in Iraq he was a "realist" - and thought it was "60-40" good. When it comes to the Cuban revolution - and therefore real live and effective resistance to US imperialism - suddenly he's babbling about "legitimacy" and "dictators" and invasions of Cuba by Costa Rico. Crimes of US imperialism = realism, that's the way the world is. Resistance to US imperialism = an offense against the pure world of individual rights in which Brad DeLong tells us what's right, wrong and "legitimate."
