i can't help but feel vindicated. 1) large and unecessary #s of civilian deaths. US psyops attempts to cover that up have now been basically exposed. keith ritchburg's piece in the Wash. Post on Basara reveals that the 'iraqi barbarians use human shields in fighting' to be a myth. many many articles on the marines being reckless in their shooting at civilians...even in prowar newspapers like the Financial Times...

2) the preventable looting of the city combined with the special protection of the oil ministry speaks volumes.

3) the countless rumors of WMD and chemical weapons (the latest dispelled rumor being the "11 chem. weapons labs" find)....

4) veteran reporters like Chris Hedges forsee a Beruit like situation, which the North looks more and more like.

5) the comedy like Garner 'administration'....

6) the recent irresponsible and baseless attacks on Syria in the aftermath of this war (though expect no attacks, Syria can defend itself better than Iraq).

and on and on....

one massive mess... the only thing one can wonder about in the face of this is how can anyone who supported this feel confident about Iraq's future?

steve
