That's not entirely true. Polls, for what they're worth, show high levels of anxiety and sadness. Fewer people watched TV coverage of this war than GW I, and more shielded their children from it. Sure, the bellowing yahoos were out in force, but they're not the whole story, and are probably not even the majority.
