Socialism and Democracy is looking for someone to review After Capitalism by David Schweickart. This book is an updated and more popular presentation of the model of worker-self-managed market socialism set out in his 1993 Cambridge U. Press book, Against Capitalism. It is also more practical in intent, in that it links the model to the anti-globalization "counterproject," and discusses in more detail the question of transition. The linkage to Marx is also more explicit in that Economic Democracy is situated within the framework of historical materialism.
