i the undersigned having read the previous cuba petition, assert that
whomever should stick to matters that they are responsible for. given the
extent of U.S. Policy towards Cuba and the crippling sanctions and so
forth and examining the context of those policies the signers of the
previous petition ....while generally exlempary folk much respected by
myself with the exception of perhaps Rabbi Micheal Lerner, haven't
fulfilled their obligation to prevent the disasterous policies that they
are responsible for stopping and therefore uniquely unqualified to condemn
Fidel Castros bad acts. Amnesty International of course is a seperate
matter. that is an international institution and thusly qualified, whereas
the signers of the petition are predominately U.S. citizens. i also
hearby offer no opinion on the Castro regime because i am not a Cuban
citizen. i would also assert that the large community of ex cubans
residing in Florida are not Cuban citizens either and that if they want
Castro out so bad they should go do it themselves. and that cowering
behind U.S. military might seeking to compel it to do the ex cuban
communities alleged cuban patriotic duty is cowardly and even criminally
so. i the undersigned would also like to note Cubas exemplary health care
system should be/is a huge embarrassment to the most powerful and wealthy
country in probably the history of the world. so there.........
