I don't think my concept of socialism and the left is different from what 
you seek. But I happen to live in a time and place where it it's not just 
the case that my ideal concept of socialism is under attack, but where 
human life and reason are under attack. Moreover given everything that has 
happened, that is happening, signing a petition condemning Cuba is NOT at 
the top of my list. I am deeply suspicious both of the timing and the 
sentiment behind this petition.
