After more than 4 years of planning, DC's radical infoshop is finally opening. Here's some info on who we are and what we offer:
Not for Profit Cooperatively Run Anti-Capitalist Non-Hierarchical Radical Literature: Books, Zines, Records Independent Music: Punk, Spoken Word, Hip Hop, Folk and more Activist Resources, and resources to connect people to service providers, activist groups and community organizations. Free Computer access and a radical reading library.
@ 1426 9th Street near the corner of 9th and P St, NW, Washington, DC 20001 Near the Shaw/Howard Metro stop on the Green Line.
Also coming up before the 5th: SNEAK PREVIEW! Saturday, May 3rd: Book reading with Ariel Gore at 2pm Ariel Gore will read from her new book, Atlas of the Human Heart. She's the founder of Hip Mama magazine. Also on the 3rd: an Infoshop Sneak Preview! The space will be open all day before, during and after the event.
