I have a few issues of The New Masses, the CPUSA aligned magazine. (One has the ad in the back for the John Hammond, Sr. Carnegie Hall concert, "From Spirituals To Swing, " where Robert Johnson was to have sung) Their cartoons of the Top Hatted, Obese Capitalist w/ a cigar were better than the Z cartoons. For artistry though theRobert Minor and Art Yong cartoons in The Masses circa WWI were great, http://www.marxists.org/subject/art/visual_arts/satire/artist.htm http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/ARTminor.htm
