A good friend of mine was Komsomol leader at his institute in the early 80s (he's made his appearance here before). His mom was a very big geologist in the USSR, used to go abroad for international scientific symposia and whatnot. Anyway, she brought him back a Playboy from one trip, and he had to sneak it back to his apartment in the bottom of his bag worried that the cops would stop him for some reason and find it. A Komsomol leader caught with a copy of Playboy... that would have been pretty embarassing.
