Oh, absolutely. And so do you, and so does everyone except bin Ladin, Bush, and other fundamentalist lunatics. I also believe, as you do, that socialist and feminist ideals are superior to capitalist and patriarchal ones. But there's nothing specially patriotic about this. It's just nonrelativism about universal morality. I don't think the US has any special lock on Enlightenment ideals, much less on socialist and feminist ones. In fact it has far less of a grip on socialist ideals than many countries, and is that respect inferior to them.
