[lbo-talk] Twelve Apostles in War Dept?

I'm looking for any info on a supposed conspiratorial
group within the War Dept during WW II, called The Twelve
Apostles. It included Truman Smith, Macguire, and Clayton,
while other members are not mentioned.

I get this from a VENONA decrypt,

The source, John Alexander Morrison, opined to the KGB informant
(Leonards Mins) that The Twelve Apostles were conspiring to
install 
a military dictatorship after the War. 

All of this is very much hearsay. Any historians out there
able to comment on this alleged conspiracy?
