What we are witnessing is nothing less than the beginning of the long defeat of the US on the world stage.

The question is, will we have a program to present before and after the collapse of this house of cards?

DRM ^^^^ CB: I agree, however, we have a program - (not necessarily in this order) shorter workweek with no cut in pay, constitutional amendment for a right to a job or income , const. amendments for equal and reproductive rights for women , affirmative action, cut the military budget drastically, nationalize the oil companies, outlaw corporate raids on workers' pensions and numerous other corporate practices, limit corporate executive pay, repeal Taft-Hartley, progressive income tax schedule, live up to the UN convention treaty obligations we have, bring US troops home from more than 100 countries around the world and close military bases, join the Kyoto accords, repeal Patriot Act, National Health Care, democratic control of mass media, impeach most of the Supreme Court, and the like, etc. ( see many radical, progressive, left party and organization platforms and programs). Peace, land, bread, jobs, equality, freedom, happiness (had, not just pursued). This is a minimum program. Once we get going, we come with the maximum: a socialism wizened with all the experience , trial and error of the last 100 years. . We have a program to present. There is more of a problem of how to broadcast it and persuade masses for it.
