You know, I have met plenty of people in the fSU who say that they didn't believe that there was poverty and homelessness in the West during the Soviet era, because it ws reported by the Communist media, and threfore assumed to be propaganda.
Plus most people had no idea what poverty and homeless really are. They seemed absurdities that couldn't possibly exist.
