Doug was correct in saying that wages paid by US companies tend to be
higher than local wage rates.  That has been true for decades, but I have
been reading lately that things may be changing as the subcontractors are
getting squeezed.  For example, Chinese workers, I am reading, are now
becoming very dissastisfied with the wages being offered.
