I don't think the way we care for our children can be separated from the way we fuck. Individuals who do the latter with their eyes wide shut usually do the former in the same way. This is true of both men and women.
It's possible to imagine changes in marriage laws and in the arrangements for administering them that would mitigate the bad effect of bad marriages on kids. The same fantasies that underpin bad marriages, however, also significantly influence these laws and arrangements.
