When my son first went to Northern Illinois U. he joined a fraternity. When he returned from Desert Storm (he had been naive enough to join the Marine reserves and got activated), he had some photographs with him. He showed them to a couple fraternity 'brothers' (some of whom had stolen some of his stuff left there while he was away), one of them said "Cool," and I guess that was about the end of his fraternity days!

P.S. Did anyone send you any decent construal of those Dickinson lines? My suggestions were mostly blowing steam. The poem is impressive.
