Yes. Breckman was writer for the original "Late Night with David Letterman" and was responsible for many of the better bits in that show's early years (one of my favs was a new video game called "Gandhi vs The New York Rangers" -- Gandhi's tactic of passive resistance is no match for the Rangers' power play). He went on to write for SNL, going back now and then, and performed live music in clubs. He's quite funny, indeed.
