Today's Guardian reports 10 million people in 400 cities in 60 countries are
expected to join this weekend's demos. There is also a piece in today's New
York Times on the decision by the city and the courts to limit the New York
City action to a rally rather than a march. By way of context, the article
usefully explains why marches have a greater impact than stationary rallies
on both participants and observers.
