i remember once when i was in taiwan an american fellow at a rally in 1991
who showed up at a rally for democratization in Taiwan and in the face of a
blockades and 10 men deep lines of police, water cannons, etc...he stood up
at the barricade and shouted to the KMT riot police, "Take Down This Berlin
Wall!! Let The People  of Taiwan Have Democracy!!"
