Boring Lefties

Well....allow this working-class, sex-positive left-wing Black man to get my nickle into this debate....since it's been quite a while since I have posted here.

I happen to think that EVERYONE needs to take a chill pill or two -- or FIVE -- and check themselves. In the long run, does it really matter what ANSWER or Not In My Name or whatever acronym your favorite anti-war sectarian group you like chose to say??? In the end, they are all after the same cause and platform....to stop our leaders from beginning this insane war in Iraq; and, if that's not possible, to make the war that much less profitable for those who will prosecute this atrocity. All this infighting and brawling over minutia only serves to weaken the collective opposition and to distract from the real enemy, which is the Bushies and their quisling Democratic "opposition" who is using and exploiting this war in Iraq (and soon Iran, and Saudi Arabia, and possibly even North Korea, too???) to run roughshod over this country.

Personally, I don't really give a rat's ass about who used the podium at last weekend's rallies to support whomever's particular causes. All I know is that there is a strong majority of the human race who sees this action for the new fascism and imperialism that it is, and is fully committed in whatever way they can to oppose it. Even though a few more faces of color -- and an acknowedgement of the strong popular Black opposition to this action -- would be nicer in my view, I'm not going to quibble much about it, since this is the first time in a long, long while that we have seen real, actual opposition to the broad Right program. Hell, even Ralph Nader has finally been rousted out of his slumber to say a thing or two about this war; that's real progress.

Instead of gripping and griping about whose platform is more politically correct or who is the better vangard, maybe we should spend more time -- and more of Doug's bandwidth -- appreciating the success of this weekend....and planning our next move.

BTW, Doug...if you are in need of some steel-toed boots to kick some of the bandwidth hogs out, I just so happen to have some that I have used over at my clubs for busting spammers. I can lend them to you free for your convenience. ;-)

As one of my living sex goddesses Shauna O'Brien once said to me: Just act, don't overreact.

:-)

Anthony (Hopefully, NOT a boring leftie)
