And most people do more than just getting by, day by day. They go to football games, Tupperware parties, church, and watch TV. But most working class Americans just don't give a damn about politics. Workweeks were much longer in the 19th century, but that didn't keep the populist movement from forming. Yeah, Americans are overworked, but there's more to it than that.
