MEETING TO PLAN CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE The No Blood for Oil Coalition is holding a meeting for people who are interested in taking nonviolent direct action on invasion day if the full-scale war on Iraq begins. 2. PROTEST I.N.S. DETENTIONS January 10 is the next deadline for Arab and North Korean immigrants to register with the I.N.S.; hundreds of Iranian men were detained in Los Angeles on the last deadline day. Show your outrage at the out-of-control I.N.S. at a picket from noon to 2PM on Friday, Jan. 10, outside the agency's headquarters, 26 Federal Plaza. LEAFLET WITH THE MISSILE DICK CHICKS You must see the Missile Dick Chicks in person to appreciate their full fabulousness, but check out http://www.dianelent.com/noiraqwar/nowar3.html for a fetching image. Join them as they roam Times Square for an hour - volunteers are needed to hand out anti-war leaflets and sign people up for this email list. YOUTH BLOC MEETING Youth Bloc - high school students and youth organizing against the Iraq War - is meeting next Tuesday to plan for a possible Jan. 14 student/youth day of anti-war action, among other things.
